The National Criminal Register in Poland provides criminal record extracts to individuals wishing to obtain information from his or her criminal record.

Application procedure

If applying from within Poland:

The individual should apply directly to the National Criminal Register:

Contact the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) - Local Document Search

Enquiry Line: 0207 008 0103 stating that you require an extract from the Polish National Criminal Register (Krajowy Registr Karny) covering the time spent resident in Poland. The FCO will then liaise with the Polish National Criminal Register on your behalf.

Cost

Applications made from the UK for Polish Nationals:

Polish applicants must complete two copies of the application form to be returned to the Polish Embassy in London. The Embassy charges £70 in total to cover admin/postal costs and they only accept postal orders. The Embassy will send the application directly to the appropriate contact in Poland.

Content of certificates

Convictions are deleted after 10 years and minor offences are deleted after 5 years, dating from the date when the crime was committed.

The CRB has taken all reasonable steps to ensure that the information contained herein is as accurate and comprehensive as possible. In order to maintain the accuracy of the information, the CRB will update the information periodically.

However, the CRB cannot be held responsible for the level of service provided by overseas authorities. As such, please do not contact the CRB regarding applications submitted to overseas authorities.
