News item: Industrial Action at the CRB.
Members of the civil service union, Public and Commercial
Services (PCS), have voted to go on a national two-day strike on
Monday 8 March and Tuesday 9 March. This industrial action is
to oppose changes to the Civil Service Compensation
Scheme.
The CRB will, however, remain open for business on these
two days and will focus its efforts to maintain essential
services, such as the call centre, so that it can continue to deal
with customer enquiries. The CRB would like to reassure customers
that it will make every effort to minimise the effect of the strike
on the overall CRB process.
